Happy Birthday Roger!
Today Google celebrates the 76th birthday of Roger Hargreaves – the author of the Mr Men children’s books.
A child of the seventies, I was a massive fan of the Mr Men books when I grew up so was the envy of school friends when my father did some work with him in the early eighties.
As well as lots of signed book (including the lesser known Timbuctoo series) I was the proud recipient of a hand-drawn Mr Tall which is one of my most prized possessions.

Wowee – that’s a wonderful thing to have – I’m envious! He lived up the road from me when i was growing up-literally half a mile away but I never caught so much as a glimsp of him!
